For our children and future generation to have a healthy place to live in, we need to leave the world in better shape than we found it.
For our part at EnProve we believe that those farmers who adopt nutrient management programs benefit more. That is, they will be more profitable, produce higher quality product and reduce environmental impacts. These programs will not only lead to better soil health but also improved long term farm sustainability and reduced risk to waterways.
Managing nutrients is important for environment at two levels. The first is the off-farm impacts on the ecological system and the second is the on-farm impacts.
Off farm impacts often have badly enforced regulatory implications whilst the on farm impacts are less well understood. Poor soil health can lead to complications for production, erosion, salinity, animal health, product deterioration and even human health. Better on-farm management better reduces off-farm impacts and hence a healthier future and society.
