Reaching Our Sustainability Targets

Here at Parsons Brinckerhoff’s, we define sustainability as “the degree to which actions today enable current and future generations to lead healthy and productive lives.” That philosophy, which builds on more than a century of work in planning, designing, and managing the construction of infrastructure, also recognises that in shaping the built environment of the 21st century we must address the social and economic objectives of our clients and the communities in which we work while conserving and enhancing the natural world.

Our sustainability strategy lies in keeping with Parsons Brinckerhoff’s vision to "inspire the world’s best teams to create innovative solutions for physical assets that enhance our communities for future generations." Of course, we recognise that we cannot achieve this vision without fully integrating the principles of sustainability into our philosophy and operations.
