Western Australian Energy Minister Peter Collier's announcement of a restructure of the Sustainable Energy Development Office , merging it with the Office of Energy has been welcomed by the WA Sustainable Energy Association.

The Sustainable Energy Development Office was established in November 2001 by the State Government to implement the Government of Western Australia’s sustainable energy policy.

The Sustainable Energy Development Office plays a vital role in accelerating the adoption of renewable energy and energy-efficient strategies across all sectors of the community - from business and industry to government and the general public.
