Black is Green Pty Ltd is an Australian private company operating  from Maleny in South East Queensland and from Mackay in Central Queensland .

The company was established specifically to develop mobile biomass char production technology with application to diverse biomass feed stocks, including crop harvesting residues and general green waste.

BiGchar is the trademark of Black is Green Pty Ltd for its biochar product which has been generated using a mobile processing plant.

In essence biochar is a type of charcoal generated by processing of organic matter under conditions involving controlled temperature and limited access by oxygen
