Birds Mulga Parrot

Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens have these extraordinary Mulga Parrots. These parrots quiet, unremarkable birds that merge well with the silvery-green plant life found in their arid woodland territory.

They usually fly near the ground with a swift rising and falling movement. They also forage for their food on the ground, generally eating seeds. When anxious at feeding or drinking, they take shelter in the higher branches of the nearer trees until the danger has passed away.
