Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare Inc

Community members from the organisations, Tropical Urban Production and Landcare Group (TUPALG) and Townsville Thuringowa Landcare Association (TTLA) met in February 2004 to discuss the future of Landcare in Townsville and Thuringowa. Both groups agreed that provision of revegetation in the areas needed a review and it was decided to 'raise a new organisation and work on moving resources from both groups' for the benefit of the community and thus, Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare Inc (CDTLI), emerged.
