NSW Sustainable Schools

Sustainable Schools NSW is a government-funded program helping schools merge environmental education and awareness into all aspects of school life (such as the classroom, the canteen, school grounds, travel to and from school, the office, workshops and sports carnivals)

A sustainable school promotes engagement of their whole community by adopting a fun, practical and relevant way of learning and working together.

Sustainable Schools NSW encourges schools to:

- Become more aware of their environmental impact and carbon footprint

- Work out what actions they can take to improve their environmental performance.

Sustainable Schools NSW aims to support all schools, their partners and the community in realising a positive environmental vision.

Through a School Environmental Management Plan, your school community can implement, review and celebrate green education initiatives.
