While starting Solatube in Australia, one of the biggest challenges we faced, was to find an affordable method of bringing natural light into dark spaces where it was not possible for natural light to enter. Our original design received a lot of attention from the media and was also labelled revolutionary. It earned the loyalty of product owners from all across the globe. While finding a way to proudly boast about our fantastic new invention we needed to give a product a name. Hence the term “tubular skylight” was born.
