Wholesalers of 100% recycled paper and stationery handmade from office waste and Elephant Dung.
From journals, note cubes and cards to children's craft kits.
Manufactured in Sri Lanka, a country where traditionally elephants and humans have competed over scarce land resources resulting in injury on both sides, the production of the paper directly contributes to the villager’s income linking it to the survival of the elephants. Maximus Elephant Paper has won the BBC World Challenge and the Co-op America’s “Green Business” of the year Leadership Award.
Maximus supports the Elephant Millennium Foundation that provide a home for aged and disabled elephants and a mobile veterinary hospital developed in conjunction with WSPA the World Society for the Protection of Animals.
There are no chlorines or acids used in the handmade manufacturing process and only salt dyes are used for colouring. The paper has a soft, vellum like feel and can be printed with both inkjet and laser printers. It is tree free, environmentally friendly and sustainable. More than just recycled.
