Ecologically Sustainable

Development and Innovation

Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) is development that uses natural resources to suit recent requirements, while life depends for the future on the preservation and enhancement of eco processes. It permits economic development to happen, simultaneous with deliberation of the environmental and social impacts of development. It encompasses Whole of Life Cost and Extended Producer duty methodologies (amongst others), permitting decision making to suppose the environmental impact of a product or process now and in the future. ESD is basic to all development projects.

Running development of land is based on some fundamental principles, but legislative frameworks to get a profitable and sustainable result differ from state to state.
